Co-Founder, Chief Technology Officer

Own every technical decision: architecture, stack, infrastructure, hiring, and the early codebase. Ship Phase 1 in 16 weeks. Build the engineering team behind it.

What you bring

  • 10+ years engineering, including 3+ in a senior or staff role.
  • Shipped consumer products at scale on web, mobile, or both.
  • Direct experience with at least one of: production ML systems, recommender systems, ranking and search, or large-scale event pipelines.
  • Built from zero before. Prior startup experience strongly preferred.
  • Hiring experience. Will be the engineering recruiter through the first 5–10 hires.

Founding Engineer (Full-Stack)

The second engineering hire. Ship features across the diner web app, the restaurant console, and the backend. Own at least one major component end to end.

What you bring

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering.
  • Strong full-stack: React or Next.js front-end, Node or Python back-end.
  • Cloud experience, ideally AWS.
  • Track record of shipping features end to end without supervision.
  • Startup mindset. Comfortable with ambiguity and operational work.

Founding ML Engineer

Own the personalization layer end to end. Design and ship the ranking, recommendation, and embeddings systems that learn each diner from every interaction.

What you bring

  • 4+ years applied ML, including 2+ in production.
  • Hands-on with at least one of: recommender systems, ranking, embeddings retrieval.
  • Strong Python. Comfortable with PyTorch or equivalent.
  • Comfortable across the lifecycle: training, evaluation, serving, monitoring.
  • Pragmatic. Ship a 75-percent solution this quarter, not a perfect one next year.

Founding Restaurant Partnerships Lead

Sign the first 15 to 25 pilot restaurants in Chicago. Manage onboarding and the relationship. Run the structured pilot study. Build the partnership playbook.

What you bring

  • 5+ years restaurant-adjacent: restaurant tech sales, hospitality, ops, or ownership.
  • Existing Chicago network in fine dining or hospitality.
  • Has personally closed B2B SaaS or restaurant tech deals.
  • Comfortable as the first business hire — sales, success, and account management in one role.
  • Excellent written communicator. Will produce the case study material.

Founding Product Designer

Own the visual identity, the brand system, and the product UI. Design the diner web app, the restaurant console, and the marketing site.

What you bring

  • 5+ years product design, with significant time on consumer mobile or web.
  • Strong portfolio. Lead from research through visual.
  • Has shipped 0-to-1 products under unclear specs and tight timelines.
  • Works fast. Iterates with engineering. Knows when to push back and when to ship.
